im using the m1014 with ex-mags at the moment (it was a fun grind to get the mags on FFA :P )
i never really used the shotties untill i had a sudden urge to use the spas at lvl 40 something. must admit i prefer the m1014 i now use, it has very similar damage to the spas but better rate of fire ...
