"New Zealand, australia, Germany, Sweden, finland, France."
These are all protectorates of American military hegemony. Give credit where it is due, son. |

phh, I can think of heaps of places, now and throughout history that are better than your country is now. eg. New Zealand, australia, Germany, Sweden, finland, France.. In the past: Amazonian tribes, central american tribes, native american indian tribes, probably most tribal people actually.
Although i do agree that there needs to be a serious intellectual change in culture, world wide. Also, what makes you think that Iran shouldve been invaded instead of iraq? |

@ Bukkake
All the things you name are points I might make to show that we need serious intellectual change in our culture. As bad as it is, it is better than any other place or time for all of human history. |

If you guys still have freedom then why do you have things like "free speech zones"? Why can't you wear an anti bush t-shirt at a buch address or rally? Why are two of the most dangerous drugs legal when ones that are far less dangerous and have real benefit illegal?
Why is it ok for the pres to call you an enemy combatant and lock you up indefinately without even telling you why? If you have freedom then how are they allowed to search your home anytime and not even tell you that they were there? Wake up dude, you live in a fantasy world. |

"I never really understood how she would deal with those that absolutely need support."
Where do people starve? Where do people let their neighbors go hungry and homeless? Where are people poor? Not free nations. Just because Soviet Russia claimed to "take care of those that absolutely need support" doesn't mean they actually did it. But in a free country, if YOU want to dedicate your life to that cause, you're free to do so. People only experience desperate, life-threatening poverty in nations where freedom is absent. |

I found Ayn Rand helpful when I was in a cult just to realize how diverse thinking really can be compared to what I was fed as a child.
I Know many people that can't help themselves or survive due to mental illness. I never really understood how she would deal with those that absolutely need support. |

@ Mike1977a
My education advice is for all families, of whom many homeschool their children. It doesn't take a lot of money or status to get a good education in America - most of the stuff in the private curriculum is as bad as the public school curriculum (partly due to state accreditation - you can't escape their standards even in most private schools). People pay more for private schools, but they don't get much more. As for Keynes, he was pure poison, a dictatorship in the making. You assert we've gone to favoring Hayek's principles. I see some indications of this, but we are certainly not a capitalist system today. Most of the "corrections" you refer to are the fault of government control of the interest rate. Even in the 1800's, nearly every instance of economic shrinkage followed an episode of government intervention in the economy. Research it and see for yourself. Gets some books by Stuart Holbrook and go from there. |

MrCropper,
Regarding the childrens early education you give advice on, Are children from less affluent families allowed to take part in the schools who you give advise to? If not why wouldnt you give children from non affluent families a chance to become educated to a high level and not be forced submit to a horrific public school education? P.S Should the Main politcal parties adopt Keynesian economics again in order to help keep the free market system from creating terrible long term market corrections? Should America Abandon Hayeks Ideas and go back to a Keynesian model in order to save ourselves? |
