"Reply by Jon Pultz on September 14, 2010 at 3:24pm Guys. I have one question for Linkin Park. Why? Why did you do this? I grew up with Meteora and Hybrid Theory. You guys helped me through a lot of bad times and Inspired me to do so much good with my life. I'm so disappointed in this, I thought it was bold of you to try something new with Minuets to Midnight, but I thought you'd listen to the fans and their disapproval. The real fans, not the posers who heard you guys when you went mainstream. I'm talking about us. The ones who grew up with you, the ones who followed your music and loved everything you did. But now, you've betrayed what you once were. A Thousand Suns is terrible. I'm sorry, but I can no longer call myself a Linkin Park fan. I will continue to listen to Meteora and Hybrid Theory, but not this."

The reason we are here is to express our opinions to the band. They need to know our disappointment so that they can hopefully turn this around. We are not here to hate on Linkin Park, and as I said earlier I commended them on trying something new, as all bands should. But If fans say they don't like what it it is, then maybe it's time to re-evaluate what you're doing. Now I'm not saying that EVERY choice made by Linkin Park should be decided by the fans, but I am saying take them into consideration. I'm also not saying that people can't like the new stuff, but it's not what Linkin Park used to be about. We would like them to get back to what they once were because it was something new and unique. Understand that I'm not saying I hate Linkin Park, Just disappointed. That's why we are on here."

I will no longer call myself a Linkin Park fan. I'm not saying this to be a whiny little emo kid or to try and make the band change because I know that won't happen. (Me no longer calling myself a fan is probably insignificant to them) As I said in my older post, I will continue to to listen to Meteora, Hybrid Theory, and Reanimation, but they will no longer be on my favorite bands list. I don't want to sound like I'm whining, but I am hurt. These guys really did help me through a lot of hard time when I was younger, and I know some will argue that true fanship is never leaving no matter how bad things get, but I find it harder and harder to keep following them when it's no longer in my opinion good music. (That is my opinion and I'm not saying you have to follow that) It's kind of like having a political leader that promises to end all war and hatred. Things start out great at first but then as time goes on you realize that things are not as great as they once were, and now there is even more war. You can't keep following that leader just because they say nice things and you once believed in them and looked up to them."
"Reply by Will Garner on September 17, 2010 at 12:13pm I've been a LP fan since "In the End" first came across the radio waves. I still turn them up everytime they play on my iPod. That being said, this new album is AWFUL. And I hope the members of this band somehow get a chance to read this. Not so that they get a piece of my mind, but because I want them to realize that they're doing their fans a disservice by releasing material like this and trying to feed it to us by calling it ground-breaking. Yeah, it's DIFFERENT than anything I've ever heard before, but doesn't make the shit GOOD. When half the album is speeches and instrumentals, I have wasted precious money. Linkin Park is not supposed to sound like Coldplay, or 311, or U2, or any of that shit mixed together. They're supposed to sound like they did in Hybrid Theory. That shit was ground-breaking. People don't want to hear sad, sensitive Chester on every fucking song. That's not Linkin Park. If they're going to keep this up, they should change their name or something, because the music they put out on A Thousand Suns is giving a good band, a bad name."
