He doesn't copy the techniques etc the original singers use, its ok if he does this on purpose, but if his musical appreciation is limited to just the pitch and tempo only, then I dun think he's qualified as a gifted singer yet. Eg compare him to Jotta A, or Shaheen Jafargholi.
