I hope everyone enjoys the new species videos! They were created as part of www.coenobitaspecies.com

It is sad to see that rather than providing what is known a hermit crab needs to remain healthy and to thrive by, that the comment section is being closed on some videos. :(

where do you find crabs on the coastline?

Please visit Crab Street Journal http://crabstreetjournal.com and read the caresheets, articles and FAQ's. There is updated hermit crab information, some of which is still lacking within the tank that hermit crabs need to remain healthy. For those on a tighter budget one can also read http://crabstreetjournal.com/xoops/modules/news/article.php?storyid=159&keywords=budget For the hermit crab to be fighting the new one should of been iso'ed for a week or longer to have time to adjust to captive living. Still do not see a humidity gauge or thermometer?
crabstreet (2 months ago)
One does need a lid on their tank to help hold the humidity as well as the warmth within the crabitat. If the humidity percentage is too high, open a lid further until the humidity is between 75-78%. Prior to aiming for this one needs to calibrate/test their humidity gauge for accuracy and should be done about monthly.
