He answers the questions "Is bamboo flooring of the same or similar quality to hardwood timber flooring?" Andre expains that most of the high-quality bamboo flooring is made better and is actually stronger than traditional hardwood flooring.
There's a hardness rating for timbers that goes from zero to 20 and traditional Tasmanian Oak flooring for example, is about 4 and a half on the scale.
Most of the high-quality, pre-finished bamboo flooring would be between 15 and 16. What it means is that it's 3 or 4 times more durable and stronger than traditional hardwoods.
