Many years ago, after WKZO-TV(Kalamazoo) went off the air for the night, they had the snowy off-air effect, then the snow let up and a black-and-white ID popped up for a few minutes accompanied by a voiceover ID. They were really off the air, but at times it just didn't seem that way.
