It's in 7,but the first part is divided into 4 plus 3,then in the straight 7 with the accent on the 1.

Did you ever wear a drum sling?

I got a pinched nerve that affected my left hand and I think wearing a drum sling during my marching days was a contributing factor.

As for orchestral buzz roll technique,Jack van Geem(SF symphony) taught me to try and tail my buzz roll from one hand to the other.

As far as I know,Fibes of the 19070's era made no snare drum using wood.

It was either fiberglass or acrylic.

Also ,the snare vent was located above the butt plate of the snare.

Yours seems to be located elsewhere.
