Sight of Stillness: What do you see when you meditate? Excerpts from the film "Sight of Stillness" are made available in this playlist, presenting diverse experiences with meditation. "Creating Stillness" documents Carolyn Speranza at Pittsburgh Filmmakers in a Heinz Endowments Creative Heights residency. An endeavor in public collaboration, the residency engaged close to a thousand people in making the film, "Sight of Stillness," a series of meditation workshops at Filmmakers and a symposium presenting scientific research on meditation, health and medicine.

Urban Aquarium video installation and public art Urban Aquarium paired the movement of martial artists and movement found in nature. Ocean Form, Flower Form and defense movements were used from the practice of Oom Yung Doe with their environmental counterparts. First Night Pittsburgh commissioned this artwork which was subsequently recognized by Americans for the Arts in their "Public Art of 2001." The piece received a programing award from First Night International.
