Courtney Collins is a musician/songwriter/chanteuse from Madison, Wisconsin, who released her first solo CD "Violet Night" on Maypole Records. The album is a mix of indie pop, lounge, and electronica, and is comprised of original songs and eclectic covers. The CD features members of Andrew Bird's band, Fog, and Happy Apple. She's also a sometime member of the electronirock band Voltress, and used to be in the band Arena Venus. Her song "Don't Forget" was featured on Magnet magazine's CD sampler in January 2007.
Collins frequently collaborates with Jeremy Ylvisaker, who is an multi-instrumentalist for Andrew Bird and who also fronts his own band, Minneapolis-based Alpha Consumer. Collins and Ylvisaker released a Christmas CD with Michael Lewis and J.T. Bates in December 2008 titled "Welcome To Christmastown."

Collins also produces and contributes music to the comedy series "Chad Vader," which recently won the George Lucas Selects Award. It has become an internet hit with over 50 million downloads to date and has been featured on Good Morning America and VH1.
