I'm Courtney Elmore. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, with my beautiful 4-year-old daughter. She is my spitting image, from her turned-up nose to her tenacity.

I play a Yamaha Digital Grand. I want to give it a Japanese name, but haven't found one that fits yet. My sustain pedal has velcro on the bottom to keep it from sliding on the carpet, and the keys have pink smudges where I have impatiently played with wet fingernails. My old piano teacher probably wants to break my fingers when she sees my videos because--yes--my technique is that bad!

I would love to write songs full-time, but also want to go to grad school and earn a steady living. Is there a happy medium in that? I'll let you know what I found out.
