My son and I were walking our dogs at around 9:50 PM. We were turning a corner when my son looked up at the sky, pointed, and said, "Look what is that?"
I looked up and there was this cigar-shaped thing flying upward at an angle. We sat there and watched it fly at an angle for about 30 seconds or less.
Again, it looked like a cigar, and had a very faint trail behind it that was traveling way faster than any earth made craft we have ever seen.
It slowed down for like 1 second, and then took off into the night where we lost view of it.

I was out in a rural area, southwest of town at a private pond fishing. We were standing on the bank facing east. The pond is about an acre and is surrounded by woods. There is open area around the pond and where the woods stop is a large opening looking back towards town.
My fishing partner noticed it first and brought it to my attention. From my right (south), I saw a huge pair of metallic cylinders with a tube joining them together. It didn't make any noise and I couldn't see any wings.
The shape was unlike anything I have ever seen flying through the sky. The speed was slow for the size of it, and it flew a straight line path.
It appeared to slow down even more as it neared a US Army Military Arsenal close to town. Distance was approximately 2-3 miles, weather was partly cloudy and visibility was unlimited.
We watched for nearly a minute and lost sight of it due to trees blocking view. I wish I had caught it on video!

Coming out of a local CVS store, I noticed several other people watching something in the sky. It was a bright white or silver light. Around this light and a good distance out from it, was a red, a blue, and a green light spinning rapidly around it.
Every few seconds the 3 colored lights would go back into the original white-silver light. Then the whole process would repeat.
I have actually seen this several times dating back to 2004, and filed reports with CUFON. There has been a local news story about a similar sighting on our local ABC affiliate.
I am certain that this is not man made. During other times I have seen it change places in the sky several times over the course of a night.
I have had people claim it is advertising lights, satellites, and other things I am certain that it could not be. During this Saturday's sighting, the other people around all commented that it was unlike anything that should be in the sky.
I am more than willing to talk to a field investigator about this and my past sightings. I have read and seen similar reports of this object in this area and others.
I also heard a caller on Coast to Coast AM call in from Waynesboro, GA, and report a very similar sighting.

This account was sent in by an about.com reader, Mark S. It happened near Caldwell, Texas on or about 1971. The submitter gave the following details.
We were about 16 years old, when my mother told us that she saw a triangular UFO flying, edge first. She watched in awe, as she could not believe that any object could fly that way.
The object soon changed to flying with its point first. It made no sound, and was black against the daylight sky. Being teenagers at the time, we were very inquisitive, but had no idea what to do with the story.
When I was about 40, I finally thought to ask my mother about it, and I saw a jetliner flying at about 30,000 feet altitude. "Was the triangle you saw bigger than that plane," I asked her. I thought what she saw was fairly small.
"Oh, yes!" my mother said, "It was probably twice that size, if not more." There you have my report, so every time I see a report of a triangle, my ears perk up.
