About Cory GeffreCory Geffre is passionate about business and life, but he is most passionate about helping other people unlock their own maximum potential. This passion has lead Cory to pursue his lifelong dream of being an author, speaker and trainer ... but don't use the term motivational speaker for Cory, instead he is often called an inspirational educator. He has earned that title because of his gift for inspiring and engaging people. Now Cory spends his time on helping businesses, organizations, healthcare and long term care facilities in the areas of workforce development, management & motivation. Cory's program called the Work Force Crash Course was an overnight success and continues every day to help organizations tap into and harness the true potential of their workforce.
BORN FOR BUSINESS: Cory started his first business when he was 11 years old and bought, sold or started 6 more businesses before the age of 20. Some of Cory's early businesses where booming successes while others were catastrophic failures. After a large personal and business failure in 1994, Cory packed up his bags moved halfway across the country and took the highest paying entry level job he could find ... a nursing assistant in a nursing home.
DISCOVERY OF HEALTHCARE: After the initial shock of healthcare and long term care, Cory began to love the industry. Cory thought a job where every day you get paid to help people was the greatest job on earth. Although frustrated that most of the other staff didn't share his passion and even more frustrated about how inefficient the healthcare system functioned, Cory went to school to pursue healthcare. In 1998, Cory graduated as a registered nurse and worked as a nurse in the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit and the Operating Room, before returning to his first healthcare passion in Long Term Care.
SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR: Feeling a pull to get back to his roots, Cory began to buy, build and sell businesses. For almost 10 years, Cory worked full-time in healthcare and also ran several of his own businesses. Cory always looked for a way that he could combine what he loved about healthcare with what he loved about business. Cory realized that the success of his businesses was mostly determined by the development, management & motivation of his workforce. It was this discovery that led Cory realize his real joy was not is his own success, but the success of others.
WORKFORCE EXPERT: To make sure that he never lost perspective Cory named his company Common Success. In 2008, Cory dedicated himself full-time to becoming a workforce author, speaker, trainer & consultant. This has allowed Cory to combine all of his experiences, education, research and talents and become a workforce expert in the areas of development, management and motivation. If there's anyone who can help you unlock maximum potential from your people, your organization and yourself, it's Cory Geffre.
