Ricci's patented no-bow left hand pizz scale, like at 2:33 always brings the house down. i've seen him do it a dozen times in person;it always freaks out the audience. i've never seen anyone else do it. all us mortals have to hit the first note on each string with the bow.

that was very nice playing. it would help if the conductor would look at him once in a while, or at least listen, so the orchestra would be more in sync with the soloist. Sage was playing very controlled, not rushing; it shouldn't have been too hard to stay with him.
