Mine is about 3-4 inches now! I got him when he was only around an inch. But they grow SUPER fast! I've only had him for... almost a month! Fun little predators and they are VERY easy to keep alive!!!!

@mentalRCburnouts No problem! I have kept them in the past, but I currently do not have a spotted OR a striped! haha, Maybe soon! I've been looking for gars as I own a 10 inch Tropical Gar and a 16 inch Longnose Gar!

That "Barracuda" is actually a red tail brycon! Much more rare than the actual red tail barracuda! :D

@mrwhatnottodo Well, there are many places you can buy one from, and prices vary greatly! They get around 12-14 inches, but even though that's not very large, they still need a very big tank.

That looks like a Tropical Gar to me. Notice the trident on its head which is found on Tropical Gars (Atractosteus Tropicus). Beautiful gar though.

@666ME666TAL666 Rosies are excellent feeders too. Much less expensive also than mollies and guppies!

that garfish, is a striped pike characin. (boulengerella Lateristriga) Vey cool fish! :D

What type of eel is it that you have?

@rickgiffin They grow 8-16 inches, ususally 8-10 but I'm sure they can and will reach 16 if given the room! :D

@Want2BSomeone It's a gymnothorax tile, although they get HUGE in the wild, in aquariums they get 18 inches to 2 feet. Give it atleast a 55 gallon tank.

Cuban and one longnose! I think I got it this time after doing more research on what small Cubans look like! very pretty! :D

Cubans! Where do you get them? I would love to have a Cuban, but I'm too afraid to either spend that much money on fish right now, or nobody really sells them. Nice looking Cubans though, I'm guessing that they're for some kind of research?

It looks alot like a tropical gar in this video, it could just be the lighting though.

they look like alligator gars, alligator gars have spots when they're young until they reach around 3 feet they loose those spots.

They're longnose gars, in clear water they develop more spots then longnoses usually have, not only that but the nose is much longer than that of a spotted.

That is actually a Florida Gar, Not an Alligator gar, It looks very nice though! :D

What type of characins do you have in there? I see you have a few hujetas, a spotted and a striped pike, and an african tigerfish, what are the other ones though?

That looks a lot like a tropical gar (atractosteus tropicus) because it does have a thicker snout. Although, I could be wrong for the video didnt show the fish by the side.

@TheDank1887 I got mine at petsmart recently and mine is Huge too! I've never seen them over 3 or 4 inches for sale but they had two Huge ones and they were very thick too. I bought the biggest one. They're fun to watch when they're not hiding! :D
