I am a big fan of Sam Cooke. He is the reason why I am eclectic. He was not afraid to challenge mainstream America's perception that music was to be segregated but rather connected genres to create what we know as "soul" music. He has inspired me to listen to a genre of artists such as Lee Ann Womack, Steve Perry, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra, Motown etc. Everybody has (a) "soul".
