I'm 6'5 bench 350 .. look at these guns! Riiiiiiigghhht. When I post my videos you will see that I am not but is anyone truthful on the internet. With that said I have been Djin for 14 years now ... bedroom DJ for 10 years at that. I spin on http://afterhoursdjs.org also at a local South florida spot called Tijuana Taxi Co, I go by DJ ROB BASS or DJ BASS and spin a mixture of all genres and bring all my equipment ( MOBILE DJ IS HARD WORK) I will be posting some videos soon... so please keep checking the site. I am working on a video of myself spinning the mix that got me into this years WMC 2009 DJ Spin off for beat matching.. by any means I'm not a video editor but the sound quality should be good.

My DJ history... well it started back in 97 my friend "peewee" purchased 2 turntables and a microphone... ok a mixer and I helped him set it up. Shortly after buying a small crate of records he calls me and tells me "I have no patience to do this do you want to buy my sht!!!" of course I said yes. I grew up around music, my mom sings, my Dad (RIP) played quitar and I always liked feeling the bass come through the my body from the speakers... my first 2 records were "A horse with no name" and "Relax don't do it" from my Dad and uncle. The first 2 records I bought was DJ Magic Mike "It's Automatic" and 2 live crews "I wanna rock" ... mind you I bought them in my early teens just cuz we had a record player. In my early days on the turntables it was booty, breaks and trance music... I would DJ house parties for my friends and family and just practice in my room every day. In 2004 I found this website called afterhoursdjs.org .. it was a dream come true . A site that I can spin my music on and stream to the world. The first time I threw down a mix there was like 300 people on the stream and it was like 3 in the morning and I was jumping and getting crazy.. at this point I was already moved in with my wife and my son was almost 2 years old ... I got the keep it down , what are you doin.. from my wife but hey I was live!! Anyway I still have never committed to having a regular show and jump on the open decks when I can. Now in 2008 things started changing, I had a new baby boy and was offered a DJ night at the Tijuana Taxi Co in Coral Springs. The spot is a mexican restaurant/ Tequila Bar ... basically a Mexican HOOTERS.. the food is great and the ladies seam to love the GIANT margaritas. I like the $1.59 drafts all day everyday personally. With this opportunity I have DJ the big events they have on Cinco De Mayo, Halloween and St Pattys Day .. and with all the practice of spinning live... I still want more! 2009 was coming and I quoted that its gonna be my year.. "2009 the year we make things happen" I entered WMC 2009 DJ spin off for beat matching and made the finals.. I planned on attending the Winter Music Conference 2009 anyways so that added to a great week ahead. Oh by the way I work on computers for a living so I also wanted a new job.. the opportunity presents itself at the same time. My frist interview landed on a weeks vacation that I had planned 6 months in advance... so I spin in the spin off, I didn't win but I'm claiming 4th place ....I hope I get another chance next year!
Well I met some really cool people at the conference and I am trying to still get in touch with everyone I have met that week. Now I am getting some things ready to start posting here on youtube, you can check some out on www.qik.com/coolassrob and my friends page www.qik.com/consideratedone ..
