CONSCIOUS ALLIANCE - Vision

We envision a sustainable future built upon alliances of individuals,
organizations, and indigenous communities, committed to service and giving.
About Me:

Conscious Alliance is a Boulder, Colorado based national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the distribution of much-needed food to impoverished communities across the United States. Operating through ongoing, grassroots food collection and hunger awareness programs throughout the U.S.—mostly by organizing food drives at concerts and music events—donations to Conscious Alliance benefit America's local food pantries and economically isolated Native American reservations. Since our first event in 2002, Conscious Alliance has hosted hundreds of food drives at music festivals including Bonnaroo, Power to the Peaceful, and Wakarusa, and at concerts by artists such as The String Cheese Incident, STS9, Phish, Jack Johnson, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Dave Matthews, Phil Lesh, and many others. Through these collaborations, Conscious Alliance has been able to collect and distribute enough food to provide over 1,164,000 meals to people in need. In 2010, we expanded our focus to include not only emergency food relief, but social development work on reservations as well, with several projects directed toward Native American youth that are intended to help the younger generation develop and uphold a strong relationship to their community and culture.
