Learn to play Latin Percussion From A Pro! Learn everything from Congas,Timbales,Bongos,Djembe, Doumbek as well as minor Percussion & Toys! I am in the business of teaching you how to execute the proper machanics & techniques to help you learn the latin percussion instrument of your choice in the fastest way possible. I have developed a technique which breaks down hand movements on hand drums to the smallest details making it simple & fun to learn! I guarantee you will walk out of your vey first lesson with a rhythm you can hold under your belt! With over 30 years of performing, touring & recording under my belt I have garnered a great amount of experience. I have toured with recorded with such bands as Gene Hernandez y Novedades at the age of 17 during the 80's Charanga Invasion and also recorded 2 albums produced by Luis Perico Ortiz on VaYa Records with Gene at 18, Jesse Herrero's SonSublime Charlie Palmieri, Johnny Colon, Dave Valentin as well as well known Rock under ground bands like Jam Band "Particle" and "Wide Spread Panic". I have appeared in venues such as Lincoln Center, Beacon Theater, Madison Square Garden, Nell's, Roseland, and The Palladium. I lead my own six-piece Latin jazz group known as "LJ5" in the late 90's and also was a member of Andrea Brachfeld's "Phoenix Rising," a Latin jazz-fusion group. I recently added the conga tracks for Celia Villar's (http://www.eljurimusic.com) new CD and I am working on a new project with tres player Alex Fox. I recently came off the road after 3 years of touring with noted Curb Records recording artists deSol http://www.desolmusic.com. Sharing the stage with such acts as Los Lonely Boys, The Legendary Wailers, Del Castillo & more! I also added my Puerto Rican Spice to deSoL's latest production "On My Way".
