My name is Joanna Peters, I'm a freelance percussionist presently living and working in Montreal. I'm into playing Afro-Cuban, funk, R&B, Latin Jazz and Reggae as well as original music exploring found sounds and original percussion arrangements. I completed the Jazz Studies program at Concordia University and studied percussion in Havana, Cuba with master percussionists Lali (folklore) and El Panga (popular Latin). I've recorded and toured internationally with Kid Koala and Bullfrog.
