At present I find myself in a Mozart exploration; can't explain why exactly; as I've heard the Brits say, 'can't be bad'; have developed a profound and long-term liking of the Mozart phenomenon, the progression of his life through central Europe, from the blossoming Spring of his youth to the wondrous and mysterious Winter years of his early thirties.---- I easily could collect all sorts of fun and interesting videos to put on Favorites (there seem to countless sites that do that already); however, there seems to be something lacking in the area of Mozart; the interest is definitely there, but not up-front enough. What was Mozart really? Who can really say?---- Indeed he did seem to have one foot in some other realm, or dimension of the cosmos or whatever; I feel that he also always kept at least one foot on the ground, to stand amongst his fellow Earthlings, when worldly considerations ultimately were to pertain only as they orbited around musical playing and composition; the inner sensibility and timing of his music falls upon the human ear so clearly and readily that the music speaks for itself as undeniable and timeless-- and tickles the aural funny bone; as well, he was not just an abstract, closet score-generator, rather an extremely proactive, absurdly extroverted musical presence, an outwardly uncanny musician in-the-real, in the round.---- At any rate, I am having a nice time of it and hope you do too. I cannot always decide on which Favorites to keep: if I were impulsive there just would be too many; the ones here I find to be interesting or noteworthy perhaps or, more to point, to my liking anyway, are exemplary performances, renditions, playings, renderings...or at least a decent playing of a notable work [which ones are not?]...; note that clicking on "HQ" (high quality) will often greatly improve the sound.---- I am finding lovely and inspiring players out there; so please keep bringing the world your positive influence.---- Many a Mozart piece seems to have a high ratio of pleasure experienced from playing or hearing it to the difficulty in learning to play it. So, I could go on and on-- with varying interestingness.--- Balance is key...
