@ArtistBlade1972 no - I wasn't saying no bolster, just sandwich the wood of the handle between the mokume on either end with both a bolster and a pommel. I think, without holding the blade, that is what I would do. after all, its your's.

why do stock removal? they don't have a SOUL like forged blades do. Yes, I have forged a few swords, even pattern welded ones (with and without power tools).

thank you for the tutorial. Didn't I see you using a belt grinder in one video? Don't you use your belt sander to do the "rough" sanding of the handles? Move to rasps and then paper when you get close to the final form. At least, that is what I do. Although, I have to admit that I have ruined sev...
