@ArtistBlade1972 no - I wasn't saying no bolster, just sandwich the wood of the handle between the mokume on either end with both a bolster and a pommel. I think, without holding the blade, that is what I would do. after all, its your's.

why do stock removal? they don't have a SOUL like forged blades do. Yes, I have forged a few swords, even pattern welded ones (with and without power tools).
