Steve & Duck were in my high school graduating class in 1959 in Memphis. They made a gazillion dollars off this song & I would love to get just what they do off BMI for this song. Steve also wrote Midnight Hour & Dock of the Bay & several others. Nuff said!

I've seen Sonny in Reno, Vegas, Tunica, & Shreveport. What a great act & great entertainer! My Man! Crosses over all racial lines to reach the heart.

I loved this song when it came out in 1962-63 when I was in the Air Force in the Philippines. Brings back the memories.

The original doo wop groups were Black, e.g. the Dominos, Orioles, Cardinals, Moonglows, etc. in the early 50s.1951-1955. DJs opened the door for white groups by playing music as it was called then "R&B". The late 50s were then dominated by the white groups. I was listening to it on WHBQ Dewey P...

Just got through watching James playing "Mary Lou" on a Ricky Nelson song on "The Nelsons" TV show. Ricky and I were the same age. I will be 70 in November. I guess we have aged a little since then! Keep rockin James!
