Delta's bond with Eleanor was broken. That's why there were those scenes where the screen turns red. Delta's going to die in any of the endings, but she saves his memories by taking his adam. The difference in the endings is the tone and Eleanor's personality.

2. The medigun can only heal wounded things, whereas the eye is gone and there's probably nothing in the eye socket

Hey man, good graphics aren't bad. It's nice to be able to enjoy the looks of a game. I mean, Binding of Isaac doesn't have bad graphics, it just has a different art style. Don't assume good graphics are the only things developers care about.

The book handled the ending a lot better. In the book it was a really drawn out scene, and it showed that deep down George really loved Lennie. George couldn't even pull the trigger until he heard the others coming. In both of the movies it does seem like a rushed ending.
