Compare the street scenes in this starting to the ones in the later series where Barry Foster drives a Ford Taunus. There are no or hardly any Japanese cars in this one whereas they do appear in the latter opening.

A third season was planned but Peppard decided not to do it as he was in the midst of a divorce and did not wish to share the profits with his soon to be ex, or so the story goes.
