:::Inept Reviews::: The Clue is in the Title.
A little bored last summer, and with nothing much to do but go down the pub and get pissed, I thought I'd make a few videos of retro games I enjoyed playing back in the day. The videos, or reviews if you prefer, are merely quick commentaries designed to recreate a little bit of nostaglia that I feel everytime I play the games. An hence, 'Inept and Irrelevant Reviews' was born.
The Inept part of the title is obvious: it's not about having perfectly scripted dialogue or fancy editing, it's not about making sure every syllable is pronounced or I'm even audible, it's not even about making sure the review is thorough and accurate - it's about having a bit of fun and sticking two fingers up at all those people who take retro reviews and life too seriously.
:::For the idiots who entirely miss the point of the videos:::
These videos are designed primarily to show short snipets of a game from the point of view of someone who has never played it before. Because of the nature of retro games playing, people tend to download games by the hundreds, give each game a few minutes of play, then decide whether or not it's worth playing. That's the deal here. If I can make a few interesting comments along the way, then job's a good'un. To be quite frank, life is too short to devote large amounts of my life playing each old game indepth just so the review meets somebody else's standards. If I give a classic game 2/10 because the opening 5 minutes are tortuous hell, then live with it.

I'm a lazy, mumbling cretin with too much spare time and I'm not afraid to bore the rest of the world with it. Love the videos or hate them - couldn't give a shit. There's plenty more where they came from.
Enjoy or detest, whichever comes most natural to you.

I would love to see you do a re-review of Post Man Pat for the ZX Spectrum. I think you were missing some of the inner joy that the game gives you. So could you go deeper into your feelings for the review?! That would be great. (Plus, I've not laughed so much in ages!) Pretty please ;)
