About this user
Greg Carroll is one of today's most unconventionally inspiring characters. His approach to business, spirituality, relationships and self-realization can only be described as intuitively derived. His ability to truly listen to what people say, and do not say allows him to give honest feedback and ultimately lead his students toward their dreams. It's no accident that Greg is now one of the most interesting and influential life coaches today. Greg's journey began in a picturesque suburb of San Francisco in the late 1970's. He was bitten by the skateboarding bug at the age of six, but didn't get his hands on one until he had saved enough money two years later. He dreamed of becoming a professional skateboarder and practiced every chance he had. As the years passed his love for the sport turned into "a full blown, uncontrollable passion that has never stopped". Greg's dreams of going pro were well on their way to becoming a reality at the young age of 16 when the infamous San Francisco skateboard shop, FTC offered him is first sponsorship deal and a spot on their amateur team. The FTC team proved to be a great windfall for the shop and for Greg; winning high- profile contests and launching a career that would soon take Greg around the world and back. In 1986 Greg began honing his skills at a place that become known as a skateboarding Mecca: Embarcadero Plaza, San Francisco. The Embarcadero became home to many of today's top professional skaters and drew crowds of thousands of spectators from around the world. The sponsorship offers began to pour in. That's when Greg realized the importance of learning more about the business of skateboarding. His interest in taking on more responsibility was noticed and he was offered a team management position at Venture Trucks that allowed him to travel the world; gaining even more knowledge about the industry and life in general. As a team manager he was responsible for the careers of up-and-coming talent and became fully aware of his knack for motivating and inspiring others. At the age of 18 Greg was offered ownership in a company called Think Skateboards. He was still able to continue his team management roll for Venture Trucks, find time for skating, designing new products and developing the careers of other skaters due to his innate ability to manage his time. He had to learn for himself how to successfully run every aspect of a profitable business, and then put it into action. His hard work and passion for the business started to pay off when Think clothing crossed over into the mainstream market and was embraced by such musicians, artists and actors worldwide. In 2002 Greg made the difficult decision to resign from all of his positions in the skateboarding industry. He took a much needed two-month hiatus from the industry to reassess what he really wanted accomplish in his life. After finding peace within himself he decided to return to the world of skateboarding; this time to take on the task of general manager of Girl Skateboards. He made the leap in part because his brother Mike (whom by this time had found extreme success as a professional skateboarder) had asked him to take on the project. While working at Girl for three years Greg was able to assist the company in reaching new fiscal heights. During this time Greg rediscovered his passion for both business management and life coaching. In 2006 Greg integrated his business management and life coaching abilities and formed several different companies. Today Greg is the co-founder of CWS Management Group, which owns and manages several skateboard and life style brands. In December of 2006 Greg met with Keven Stirdivant to create P.E.A.C.E. Academy. Because of his success in business, and dynamic personality, Greg continues to attract the media attention of the skateboarding industry. Gregs passion for helping others achieve success in their lives is what inspires him to lead by example. His calm and confident demeanor, combined with the many years of experience, make him one of today's most valuable voices for positive change.Age
