The new album isn't as over-polished as Fallen - I mean, you can actually hear the bass, and the drums don't sound like they're background noise. Fantastic.

@slingshot2009 It's called Hardcore, a subgenre of Punk which pushed the genre to harder and faster extremes. More Than Life are using a 70's sound, influenced by modern punk bands such as - I assume - Refused. I hope that's cleared it up for you.

I got the Converge vinyl with my band, having never heard them before, and at first I was pretty taken aback and disgusted with the inhuman noise - normally when we listen to Punk and Extreme Punk, there's a kind of beauty to it. But damn, this shit is good.

@petpet691821 Hey, it's possible to like more than just a few bands XD I own two Slipknot CDs, along with Slayer, Pink Floyd, four Led Zeppelin, and loads more... Slipknot were original in a time when few bands would take that risk. Having three percussionists is a damn big achievement.
