The 6.9l V8 in the Merc was a bit too deep and rumbly for the atmosphere of the film, so to match the excitement they used the 3.3 V12 of Lelouch's 275...

Just like to point out one thing, this car doesn't actually exist as such...The company released these designs and said that they would not stop until they reached the preset numbers. This does not exist in any way in the metal yet. I do like the look and sound of it though...

@cb7pwn The engine is built by an Indy 500/ NASCAR team you douche and if you didn't happen to notice, that was the part that caught fire, the only AMERICAN part of the whole car.

@PhoebusRose64 I think it is because they film the track business months before to allow time to edit, then film the studio stuff the Wednesday before each show is released. They therefore cannot keep the car during this period, and the companies do not nbessecarily have the same colour press dem...

@ppttr If you mean the one beside the new-ish phantom, it is a Mercedes Maybach 62, and if you mean the one beside the yellow silver spirit, they are AMG Mercedes S63 to the left and 1963 Mercedes 600 Grosser to the right, he does like his Benzs, hope I've been of use :)

@Autostream firstly, in this context, ever and period mean more or less the same thing, same goes for quickest and fastest,and secondly the veyron SS is not the fastest car in the world, both the Koenigsegg Agera and the Henessey Venom GT are slightly faster
