@Thatsniperonthehill3 You're right, I just meant that he lost his mom for good when she died in 1958. It was so sad that both Paul and John lost their moms about the same time, just think how proud they would have been of their sons.

I like how all through this movie, there are lots of little references to the Beatles' story. For just two examples, the Tom Hanks character is like Brian Epstein. And TBP dates a lady from the Chantralenes, which refers to George Harrison dating one of the Motown ladies.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but I know the story of John Lennon's early life, and judging by the expressions on his face as he's singing, it must be just after his mom died or just after he found out Cynthia is pregnant! This song is amazing, it's stuck in my head now in a good way!
