I am, by heritage, a hard-nosed, fighting irishman, though I strive to suppress and inhibit the less noble characteristics and behaviors of the stereotype.

I have, by those who know me, a reputation for empathy and compassion, along with a listening ear. I will listen before giving my opinion, and will always attempt, during dialogue, to ascertain where someone is coming from, before judging their words. That being said; I will NOT suffer fools.

If it becomes apparent that you are one of those poor myriad souls who suffers from some mental derangement, such as borderline, or narcissistic personality disorder, or even (God forbid) "troll syndrome**" (yes, this is a form of clinical mental disturbance), I will terminate interaction with you. I will make every attempt to assist someone who is merely ignorant on a particular subject, if I am capable. I will NOT attempt to help with "crazy", primarily because I am not qualified, and also because it is an effort in futility, especially amongst those who desire no help.

I am very open-minded on many subjects, but I do hold strong opinions on some. I have no obligation to change my opinions without explicit and irrefutable evidence to the contrary. I am also, under no obligation to refute arguments which are self-refuting.

**"Troll Syndrome" or "TS" is the hatred of happiness in other people. Trolls enjoy being the cause of chaos, rage, conflict, and other unpleasant conditions. In broad terms, Troll Syndrome is a coping mechanism. It's a way
for maladjusted people to deal with the inequities of life.

Trolls tend to be highly insecure and delusional. The standard medium of communication for a troll is the internet. It is the place where the troll feels safest. It is not uncommon for a troll to spend 16 or more hours per day in the newsgroup, waiting for opportunities to generate conflict. They come in all shapes, sizes and genders.
