My name is Jeremy Bautista. I've been making videos since high school (VHS VCR to VHS VCR). In 2000, I borrowed a Hi-8 video camera and took video on a church trip to Tennessee for a Passion Conference, OneDay event. I imported that into a computer at work, edited the footage down in Adobe Premiere 5.0 and I was converted into the realm of digital video. In the years since, I've done video projects for my former church, organizations and teams at work, and school.
In terms of tools, hardware-wise, I use a PowerMacintosh Dual 1.8GHz G5 computer to do my editing. I also run 7 external (USB 2 and Firewire) and 2 internal (SATA) drives for space. For software, I'm using Final Cut Express and Audacity primarily for video and audio tweaking.
In terms of style, I'll be the first to say that I am not a story writer. So, the videos I put together are more montages of footage taken to document events. I hesitate to call my work documentary since taking a class on producing real documentaries. However, I can't call it journalistic either since I have no story except what I see.
In the end, I enjoy producing and editing video. I love envisioning what it will look like and then making it reality. I almost bring myself to tears when I feel the moment come alive again on video after feeling that emotion being there in person.
