I'm sure the BBC used the sax part as the theme for "Ennals Point", a short-lived serial about a fictitious Welsh RNLI Lifeboat Station (actually The Mumbles). The Lifeboat was named "RNLB Sir Samuel Grail". Obviously someone at the BBC had great taste! Now, where did I put that anorak??

I am transported back to a holiday on the Isle of Wight when this was a hit (Hot Chocolate's first, I think). When it came on the radio I stopped in a layby in my 1963 Mini to listen to it on my National Pansonic portable radio (that passed for an "in-car" sound system in those days!). Happy me...

This, and "I believe in love" are under-appreciated early songs by Hot Chocolate. Lovely sounds, take me way back nearly 40 years! (I put "30" first then realised just how the years have flown by!).

Words you could hear, melodies (remember them?), real instruments, lush sounds, high production values. Where did it all go wrong??
