Welcome to the official YouTube residence of Clio & Euterpe (or the British Harmony) Online. When John Welcker published his 3-volume set of popular English songs in 1760, he couldn't have imagined his music reaching such a large audience.

We encourage visitors to clioeuterpe.org to download (free) music & midis; and we especially invite musicians to send us videos of you or others performing these works.

Perhaps you will be the first to revive a tune that hasn't been performed for over 2 centuries :-)
About Me:

We are a group of musicians who specialize in early music, particularly that composed and played in the latter 17th and early-to-mid 18th century. We promote lesser-known music of this period, especially songs from Clio and Euterpe. Our mission is to reintroduce these songs to the cyberage, and ensure their survival for later generations to discover and enjoy.

(And yes, we are available for weddings and other playing engagements.)
