Anybody know the year this album was released?

A bard for our times...

I first wondered who he was when I heard a line in a song about "Newbury's Train Songs" and I had to find out who Newbury was. So began my love affair with this man and his songs. I think it was 1976. Never had the honor of meeting him, but I am still a fan.

I was a freshman in high school when this song came out. It was 1 of many memorable songs that fall. I doubt any of us then knew we were listening to about the best there ever would be of rock'n'roll and it's singer/songwriters. At least the music is still being played - how about in 50 years ...

This was their follow up song to The Letter. Just as good, in my opinion. I was 16 at the time and was very into all the music of the day. The intro sounds as good today as it did in 1967... that guitar riff just melts me.
