I had a 2.0 in a pinto way back in the 80's. Tried to blow it up 1 nite with a buddy. Had a Sun tac on collum, reved it 7500rpm driving it for about half an hour, would not blow, not even a hiccup! Would do 60mph in 2nd gear!

Obvious the kid didn't know really what it was. Price was high, but itwas cancer free, never find em like that, if ya find em at all. I had an 82, short bed 4 speed. Put a reblt head, new cam, and 2bbl weber on it. Could NOT kill that pinto motor! Lots of pulling pwr, would out pull and tow my 94...

Yea, my 94 sounds the same way@2500 is abt the loudest. Have 306000 on orig eng, cld be piston slap,wrist pins, or rods. Idk, mine runs real good, good pwr, just getting tired I recon
