About Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Coalition
Established in 2002, the Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Coalition is a group of volunteers who are determined to keep the Chilliwack/Vedder River clean. Our volunteers are recreational users of the river and concerned local residents.
The coalition does four group cleanups each year. On cleanup days, volunteers meet and spread out to different sections of the river for a few hours of cleanup.
In 2003, the Adopt-a-River program was also launched. The river is divided into many small sections that are adopted by school classes, recreational clubs, families and local businesses.
