Wow - they need to keep Perry locked up to only do studio vocals. I thought the rest of the band performed really well, even Dave. Did a good job of keeping by himself except when it was time to showboat a bit on the solo. I've never heard so many sharp, flat and completely wrong notes by a vocal...

@mexicanchiliman They picked up a guy called Chris Chaney for the Strays album. He did a good job. I think he also played on a side project called The Panic Channel with Chaney, Navarro and Perkins.

I've also heard it mentioned that Johnny Moynihan is credited as being the first musician to bring a bouzouki to an Irish jam back when these musicians were breaking new ground as long-hairs playing traditional music.
Don't know how true that story is though.

@GryffindorGurl - Actually on this album, I believe Andy took over some of the bouzouki duties whilst Donal was playing a larger thing the liner notes referred to as a "blarge". What Andy is playing is too large to be a mandola or octave mandolin unless it's an octave-octave mandolin. :)

I agree. The rest of the band should not be up there soloing - even if you are the bass player and it's your band;).!!!! Damnit!, the rest of the band NEEDS to stay behind the universally massive ego of the guitarist!!!!! ;-)

@susantower - I love this tune. I was fortunate to see him in concert a couple of times. I think the Judges Delimna is my favorite out of this piece.
I'll try to throw up a couple more for ya!
