Love this version. Thought Mrs Gardener was much more like the book in this version. She was very insipid in the 2005. Did this for Inter cert at school and we kept rewinding the bit at the end where he smiles!!!

Found the book in a second hand store on sat so spent the day reading it yesterday. My hubbie downloaded the series and I stayed up til 3 this morning watching it. The series is a brilliant adaption of the book . I love each very much. They don't make them like they used to. I love Bryan Brown
