@tomikkkkk Because you'd stall the car. You lock up the back wheels, so if you didn't have the clutch depressed and the gear linkage was in place, the engine would stall.

You have no damage because you're racing on the beginners levels. When you get more advanced the quality of the damage increases exponentially. I'm not sure why they did this, but in a few weeks time when everyone is progressing well then people will be happy with the damage I think.
