My Grandfather worked for the B & A. He lived in Island Falls and worked out of Oakfield, ME. I road the engine when I was my son's age (3-4). One of my fondest memories.
Those pics bring back memories. The engines were housed in a shed that was burned years ago. They are between Chaimberlain and Eagle Lakes. Lock Dam was built to make Chaimberlain Lake flow south to bring the timber out of that country. We used to bring a lot of Big Bucks out of that country....
