The City Fields Foundation was established in 2005 to address the chronic shortage of playfields in San Francisco and help the City equitably provide sports facilities for youth and adult athletic leagues, school teams and physical education classes, and informal neighborhood play. Since 2005, the City Fields Foundation has partnered with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department to refurbish four playfields (Crocker Amazon Playground, Garfield Square, Silver Terrace, and South Sunset Playground) with artificial turf, creating thousands more hours of safe, fun play time for kids! Our parks and playfields still need help. Please visit our website to donate, volunteer, or show your support.
