that's not how you proparly put on a bit. you put it on from the side and if the horse still doesn't open it's mouth you put your thumb in the side of the horses mouth until the horse slitely opensit's mouth, when it does you gently place the bit in is mouth. just some helpful tips :)

You should brush your horse before putting anything on. dirt can really bother horses and causes them to roll. just some helpful tips :)
