Considered at the time to be a blisteringly hard hititing match, Chrissie and Steffi exchange some dynamite winners in the finals of the Lipton International finals of 1986, a 2-week event only 1 tier down from the majors, and an event in which Chris never failed to at least reach the finals.
She hands Steffi a convincing defeat, but it's still a changing of the guard in that Steffi is beginning to reach her period of destiny and Chris at 31 is entering what she would later call "a new phase of her career...it's called end of career." Still, she had one last grand slam victory left in her, as she took the French title a few months later, and one other Slam final appearance at the '88 Australian Open.

GROUP: Nightwish (Finland) SONG: The Phantom of the Opera SINGER: Tarja Turunen GENRE: Symphonic metal ALBUM: Century Child (2002) TRACK: 09
ENGLISH - ENGLISH - ENGLISH "The Phantom of the Opera" is a song from the stage musical of the same name, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, sung by Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford, lyrics written by Charles Hart and Richard Stilgoe, and additional lyrics by Mike Batt.
What makes this particular song unique is its unusual hard rock style, while most of the songs in the musical have a more operatic style. Early in the musical's production, Andrew Lloyd Webber met with Jim Steinman, who described "The Phantom of the Opera" as a rock song invading an opera house. This is what inspired the hard rock style of the song, which influenced all of the rock-based instruments in the song including drums and electric guitar.
The song "The Phantom of the Opera" was covered in 2002 by the Finnish symphonic power metal quintet Nightwish and released on the album Century Child. This particular version of the song, with Tarja Turunen (soprano) singing Christine's part and Marco Hietala (baritone/tenor) singing the part of The Phantom, is set in a different register to the original version written by Andrew Lloyd Webber. On the recorded version, the female vocalisation at the end of the song is slightly different from the original, however, when the song is performed live, the vocalisation is the same.

from Wikipedia:
"The Chameleons (called The Chameleons UK on some American releases) were a dream pop/post-punk band that formed in Middleton, in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England in 1981 (see 1981 in music). They consisted of singer and bassist Mark Burgess, guitarist Reg Smithies, guitarist Dave Fielding, drummer John Lever as well as keyboardists Alistair Lewthwaite and Andy Clegg. Their body of work is still critically acclaimed within the music press and influenced bands as diverse as The Smiths, Protokoll, The Comsat Angels, Puressence, Interpol, Editors.[1] Through Mark Burgess' penetrating vocals and dark and ironic lyrics, their songs often dealt with personal themes of childlike innocence and a reverence for nostalgia. Musically, perhaps most notable in their work was the band's innovative and distinctive use of dual guitar melodies, courtesy of Reg Smithies and Dave Fielding, as opposed to the traditional rhythm-and-lead guitarist format prevalent in rock music even to this day. These arrangements were often characterized by the use of delay and choral effects. The Chameleons' unique sound is quite often compared to U2's The Edge."

David.
You don't have to remove it - I just get real testy with that sort of thing and would've preferred it if you had asked me first. But, it's all good. I thought you had just ignored me at first and I couldn't do anything about it. :P
