About Ciaran Algar
Hey everyone!
Ciaran Algar is from Stoke-On-Trent. He plays mainly Fiddle and Bodhran. In 2007 he won a coveted All Ireland fiddle title. He also has won 7 All-Britain titles. In the same year, he won the Tallyman Trophy at Fylde Festival. He was a finalist at St Albans New Roots, and as a result, was booked for Sidmouth Folk festival, at which he played in the Fiddle concert on the same bill as Eliza Carthy. In 2008, Ciaran came 2nd in the All Ireland slow airs and 3rd in the All Ireland fiddle competition. He plays regular support spots to major artists in the Midlands Area. and plays in a young, dynamic band, Trí. (www.myspace.com/trifolk) Enjoy the music.
