Mike Ciaputa is a session guitarist from the North West of England, available to play in a range of styles from Jazz, to Rock, to Classical. Mike started playing the electric guitar at the age of fourteen, learning rock music from bands such as Guns and Roses. Mike started playing in a number of rock bands at school and, whilst at college, moved over to Jazz guitar playing in a variety of Jazz and Pop outfits, including brief tours of Lisbon and New York. Mike went on to study classical guitar at Lancaster University with spanish guitarist and composer Howard Haig, winning the Dennis McCaldin award for exceptional achievement in performance studies. During this time Mike gained a variety of performing experience including playing with the band Full Fat Funk ( www.fullfatfunk.co.uk), supporting the Sugar Babes, Frank Music and Aleisha Dixon.
