Love this song. Best version is The Beatles simply on the account of Lennon's superb vocal performance. Credit to Chuck though - guitar godfather.

In my opinion (for what it's worth), Be Here Now IS a good album. People slag it off forgetting that Don't Believe The Truth, Heathen Chemistry or Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants aren't of Definitely Maybe calibre either.

The dude with the bald head/goatee scares me even more than my mother-in-law.

Listening to Be here now in the car at the mo. Much underrated album. Sick of people slagging it off as it rates with any of them (apart from Definitely Maybe). As Noel was once quoted as saying "the 9 million selling flop!".

Good player that Chris Ashton is, he has always been an arrogant little so and so (even when he was at Wigan). It was great to see someone wipe that smirk off his face. I don't condone violence on the pitch, but in Ashtons' case...

Unlike Billy Joel who is a talented singer/songwriter, Bruno Mars has the imagination of a gnat by trying to make it in the business by covering other peoples songs.

Thank God (in Bruno's case) there are enough Billy Joels in the world to give Mr Mars material to perform.

@DMCDante92 I wqas there 20 years ago and although New Life was and is a great track, it wasn't until a few years later (maybe the "Black Celebration" album) that they blossomed into the great act we came to know and love. I think my fave track is either this or Stranglove.

I think Watson would have become as much a legend in the division as Joe Calzage became. Such an intelligent boxer - he really showed that Benn was an exciting but very crude fighter. I recently dug out the cd "Welcome To Wherever You Are". For me, their best album followed by X. This is my fave track from X. Although Kick was commercially successful, I never play it as I get tired of hearing "Need You Tonight" and "Never Tear Us Apart" on the radio.

@PullusPardus Rubish; get your facts right. The version we're discussing was produced years before the awful '92 version. That said, I would like the later version if Ofra Haza was deleted from the track.

This song was produced as a homage to the Beatles. I'm more a Beatles fan than the Jam, but think that Start is a far better track - don't hound me - just my opinion folks.

Give this guy some credit! It's not easy stepping into the shoes of a rock legend and I think he does a fantastic job. Of course there'll never be another Mike, but life goes on after we all go...
