I was raised on the beautiful island of Mackinac Island, Michigan, located in the Straits of Mackinac between Michigan's Upper and Lower peninsulas. My ancestors settled there in 1867 after emigrating from Devon, England, and, later, from Port Hope, Ontario and Mackinac will always be home to me. I'm interested in Great Lakes Maritime history, including that of the passenger boats that sailed the lakes. Also extremely interested in Celtic music and attend as many Celtic Festivals and Renaissance Festivals as possible.
