What is it that makes me admire Christoph Waltz? Its not how he looks or acts on the big screen; its not his charm with the ladies or the fact that hes dominating the various Best Supporting Actor awards. It goes deeper than that. I can say this for sure: I admire him but dont love him. Face it; being able to meet him in person and kiss him and have his children and whatnot is an unachievable dream that I know I will never achieve. So what is it that makes me ADMIRE Christoph?
I pondered on this a bit and thought it over as I was riding with my father in his Mustang. Then it came to me. I admire the guy because he is himself. Hes not fake or plastic. He doesnt change his looks and the way he is every five minutes like other celebrities. He isnt destroying his life or abandoning his children even though hes divorced (no ones perfect) and hes not a scumbag. Hes classy, intelligent, and likes to take risks every now and then with his acting career. Face it, he was offered a lot of roles in other shows and movies and he denied them because he wanted a character that would have the same kind of attitude and demeanor as him. Ive seen clips of his older works from way back and the way he acts on those sets is the way he acts in person with people offstage. He likes to stay true to himself.
I just want to say to him personally that I admire his works and I hope he doesnt change the way he is because there arent very many celebs out there that stay true to themselves. Hes a good role model for people who want to stay original and are afraid to because they think that they wouldnt be noticed. They think that if they changed then they would be admired more but those kinds of people are forgettable. People who stay as they are become more successful, because they arent worried about putting up a facade or a mask as its called. The ones who keep changing their personalities to impress others are always tense and end up performing poorly in both their personal careers and acting careers. People that stay true to themselves like Christoph are more relaxed and successful in what they do.
So I just got to say that I admire the man because he stays true to himself. I know that Hollywood cant present actors and actresses Staying Original awards but I just got to give Christoph Waltz my version of it. Congratulations Waltz!
