I know 4 different versions of this "song" including this one. The three of them are in greek, italian and cypriot-greek. I suppose other dialects have their own versions. In greek and italian it is the same story, same melody and different language. Unfortunately I don't speak Irani. Maybe someone could enlighten us about the lyrics in Iranii. In my opinion is just a folk song that traveled thourgh the ages and continents (maybe with the venetian ships of the 17th century)

its not vibrato. Xenakis hated vibrato. its a testitura thing done with the rising and lowering of the soft palette. Extremely hard to achieve. Like a false laughter..
